So I finally got my first dSLR, a discontinued Nikon D70s. It's been a long time waiting; I've shot a bunch of photos with a dozen point-n-shoots and professional SLR's, but here's my chance with a digital type "prosumer" camera. Right now there's a whole bunch for sale on eBay or Amazon, just in case any of you are interested in purchasing one. Prices range from $300-$500, so it's not that bad, considering a few years ago this baby new would have burned a whopping $1,000 in your wallet/purse (for camera body only and add an additional $350 for the f3.5, 18-70mm lens kit) . Now I just have to do a little research for my dedicated strobe unit, so that I can start experimenting with off-camera/off-axis lighting.Can't wait to see what this thing can do. More later.
